Distinguished guests, esteemed colleagues, and honored pioneers from around the globe,

Welcome to the International Nuclear Battery Symposium. Today marks a historic milestone as we establish the first dedicated global forum for nuclear battery technology a field standing at the very nexus of clean energy innovation, advanced material science, and long-duration power.

For decades, nuclear energy was defined by vast, centralized grids. Today, we stand on the threshold of a new paradigm. Compact, resilient, and virtually maintenance-free, nuclear batteries offer unprecedented potential to power human endeavor where traditional energy falls short. From remote terrestrial microgrids and harsh-environment sensors to deep-space exploration and advanced medical devices, this technology is redefining what is possible for decentralized power.

Bringing this vision from laboratory breakthrough to global deployment requires a collaborative, multi-disciplinary effort. Over the coming days, our mission is to build a true global ecosystem. We will examine breakthroughs in betavoltaics, radioisotope systems, and micro-reactors, while simultaneously addressing the critical regulatory pathways, safety frameworks, and lifecycle management needed to earn public trust. No single nation or institution can solve these complex engineering and regulatory challenges alone.

To every researcher, industry leader, and policy expert joining us: your presence here is vital. You are not merely observing the evolution of energy technology you are shaping it. May our time together yield bold ideas, lasting partnerships, and transformative progress. Welcome to the symposium.
